Why We Created Lì Vicino

Lì Vicino means "right nearby." We’re a small, independent travel project led by a couple with roots in Italy, El Salvador, and California. One of us is Italian-American, the other Salvadoran-American. We’re both educators, we live in a trilingual household, and we know that meaningful travel looks different for everyone.

We’ve helped friends and family plan trips that honor mobility needs, sensory comfort, safety, culture, and rest. We started Lì Vicino because we believe intentional travel should be available to more people, not just those buying luxury packages or following influencer itineraries.
